Margaret C. MacDonald, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24th, 2026, at the age of 86, at Waterfalls of Catonsville. Born on Saturday, September 2nd, 1939, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Margaret lived a life full of warmth, love, and kindness that touched everyone she met.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Margaret Dowling, and Edna Rothe, as well as her cherished granddaughter, Amanda Wooten, and her great-granddaughter, Grace Wooten. Margaret's legacy of love continues to shine brightly through them.
She was preceded in death by her devoted spouse, George P. MacDonald, her brother, James Bradley, and Kenneth Beach. Through all of life's ups and downs, Margaret remained a beacon of strength and love for her family and friends.
Margaret dedicated 11 years of her professional life as a Head Cashier at CVS, where she was known for her kindness and friendly demeanor. Before that, she spent a significant decade working at a card shop in Lake Shore Plaza, Pasadena, Maryland, where she brightened the days of many with her warm smile and helpful nature.
In her personal life, Margaret was a true people person, finding joy and fulfillment in connecting with others. Her interests in crafts, reading, and crossword puzzles were a testament to her creative and curious spirit. She shared her love for these activities with her family and friends, creating countless treasured memories.
Family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Margaret are invited to pay their final respects. Visitation will be held at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland, on Monday, March 30th, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service celebrating Margaret's life will follow, at 12:00 pm at the same location. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery following the funeral service.
Margaret C. MacDonald will be remembered for her compassion, warmth, and the joy she brought to the lives of everyone she knew. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever.
