Margaret Griffith Obituary

Margaret V. Griffith, 98, a recent resident of Severna Park and formerly of Pasadena, MD, died on May 24, 2021 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

Ms. Griffith was born on November 10, 1922 in Hanover, NJ to the late Wallace and Muriel Griffith. She retired from Exxon International. Outside of work, Margaret was a member of many different organizations, including the Eastern Anne Arundel Lions and Lionesses, the Severn and Ferro Monte Chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Anne Arundel Chapter of the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century in Annapolis, Women Descendants of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery, Women Descendants of Indian Wars, and the Long Point Garden Club. After retirement, she enjoyed knitting and doing genealogies.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Griffith is preceded in death by her brothers, LeMoyne, Stuart, and Roderick Griffith. She is survived by her nephews, Lee Griffith of New Jersey and Jonathon Griffith of Rhode Island and nieces, Eileen Marion of Maryland and Thomasina Laidlaw of Illinois.

A private burial will take place at Hanover Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
