Mallory Elizabeth McKenna

On Sunday July 31st, Mallory Elizabeth McKenna, age 22, of Towson, Maryland, passed away at home. Mallory left behind their Mother, Amy (Hedgecough) McKenna, Father, Seann McKenna, Brother, Seann McKenna, Sister, Piper McKenna as well as Grandparents, countless extended family members, friends, admirers, colleagues and fellow academicians.

Mallory was and will continue to always be so many things, not the least of which includes being a beautiful, funny, smart, and slightly quirky, human. In their free time, they enjoyed spending time and playing games with their brother and sister, both of whom looked up to Mallory, reading, and playing on their Nintendo Switch. Mallory had 2 cats, Nyla and Arthur, who were their furbabies and they spoiled them rotten. Mallory started spoiling animals early, learning to spoil their first dogs, Max and Mindy, then Chance and Juice.

They will always be remembered for being a brilliant student, involved in bettering the community, and passing on their knowledge to help other people grow.  Mallory was a staunch advocate for anyone that needed assistance.

Mallory had a lifelong insatiable love of learning and was currently pursuing their Master’s Degree through Towson University.

It is the family’s hope that in our loss, we can help spark and continue the conversation about mental illness.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday August 7, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena MD (Phone (410) 360-1770) where a funeral service and time of sharing will be held at 5:00 p.m. 

We will have a fundraiser for Mallory on Saturday August 13th, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Northway Liquor, 8101 Veterans Highway, Millersville, MD.

We want to extend our deepest appreciation and love to all of our family and friends that have been a part of their life and created lasting memories.
