M. Joyce (Hampton) Buttner

M. Joyce Buttner, 82, a 2 year resident of Altoona, FL and former resident of Pasadena, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Buttner was born January 17, 1939 in Baltimore, MD to the late Clarence M. and Ruth E. Hampton. A dedicated homemaker, Mrs. Buttner enjoyed sewing, knitting, and gardening. She also worked for Harbor Hospital in the medical records department for 10 years. Above all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Buttner is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Edward "Fran" Buttner, brothers James M. Hampton and his wife Laverne, Donald F. Hampton, C. Gilbert Hampton, and sister Ruth E. Woody. She is survived by her son Jeffrey Buttner and his wife Shannan of Altoona, FL, daughter Paula Buttner of Millersville, MD, sister Charlotte Barcroft and her husband Wallace of Pasadena, MD, sister-in-law Rita Hampton of Baltimore,MD, grandchildren Matthew Buttner, and his wife Liz, Garrett E. Buttner and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday, November 26th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a service will take place Saturday, November 27th at 10:00am. Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park immediately following funeral services.
