Joyful, Witty and Friendly are words used to describe her by the staff and residents at Spring Arbor Assisted Living where Lorraine resided. She was always ready for fun, loved to sing and dance. She was a life-long resident of Anne Arundel County and a member of St. Philip Neri Church, Linthicum. She was a woman of deep-faith that volunteered at the school where her children attended and in the church with the ladies "Sodality". She belonged to the Spice of Life Club where she and her first husband, William "Bill" H. Meeks, Jr., taught dance, travelled and performed with the group at Polish Home Club in Baltimore City before his death in 1992. They were married for thirty-nine years. She met her second husband, Donald Myers, through the dance group. Lorraine loved to travel and when they weren't dancing, they enjoyed cruising and bus trips around the country. He passed in 2019 after 25 years of marriage.
Lorraine passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Spring Arbor of Severna Park. She was born at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore City on May 27, 1932 to Anna and Fred Repp. They resided in Highlandtown, an area of Baltimore known back then for its rich culture made up of people from various ethnic backgrounds. Growing up in Baltimore at the time, you sat out on the "Stoop" at night and talked to your neighbors. Lorraine went to Patterson Park high School and later attended the Clara Barton School where she studied hair styling and later became a hair stylist. She worked also at the US Naval Academy as a key-punch operator. She worked on political campaigns of U.S. Congresswoman Marjorie Holt and John Downs. She then went on to Real Estate working for Long & Foster in 1983.
Lorraine was artistic. One of her hobbies was oil painting. She enjoyed painting floral landscapes and occasionally portraits. She crocheted beautiful Afghans, doilies, and baby clothing. Karaoke singing with family and friends was a favorite past time.
Family was important to Lorraine. Birthday parties, weddings, picnics and parties with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought a smile to her face. She'd often be seen cheering on her children and grandchildren at their sporting events and school plays.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, William H. Meeks, Jr., second husband, Donald Myers, parents, Anna and Fred Repp. She is survived by three children, Adria Smith (Bob), Jeff Meeks (Leah) and Greg Meeks (Debi); sister, Elaine Cantalupo; four grandchildren, Lauren Harman (Danny), Marisa Meeks, Michael Meeks (Kelsey), and Julia Meeks; three great-grandchildren, Riley and Georgia Harman and Miley Meeks, and many nieces and nephews.
Family accepts visitors to Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a visitation will take place on Thursday, June 26th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held the following day, Friday, June 27th at 9:00 am. Interment to immediately follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Baltimore.
