Lorraine A. Dodson

Lorraine Anina Dodson, 78, passed away on October 6, 2023 at her home from kidney failure.

She was born on September 22, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Barnes Patrick and Catherine Ellen Turner.

Mrs. Dodson worked the Yard Arm, and also at Spiro’s in Eastport along with loving to do daycare. Lorraine loved to walk at the beach and collect seashells.  She loved the outdoors as she would plant flowers, bushes, trees and such.  She enjoyed cooking and baking which was enjoyed by all of her children and their friends.  Lorraine would cut and copy recipes from magazines and print them from the computer and save them.  Lorraine loved her children more than life itself.  She would give you the world if she could.  She had the kindest heart and will be deaply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved son Georgie Dodson Jr.; and her sister, Catherine P Lambdin (Patsy).  She Is survived by her husband of 49 years, George Dodson, Sr.; her daughters Lisa Kyer, Lori Owen, and Lynda Lee; sisters Mary Ellen and Bonnie; brother Patrick; grandchildren Joseph, Michael, Jaymie, Sarah, Shawn, Steven, Kyle, Katie, Kari, Sarah, Julie, Ryan, Laura, Nathan, Tara, George "Austin", Kelsey, Ashley, Justin, and Bella; great-grandchildren Desiree, Audriana, Aiden, Caiden, Steven jr., Audrey, Scarlett, Violet, Anthony, and Avery.

Friends may call on Friday, October 13th from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Saturday, October 14th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Stallings Funeral Home where funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 14th.  Interment Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by clicking HERE
