Lloyd Babington

Lloyd Babington, 83, a lifelong resident of Maryland, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Sunrise of Severna Park. 

Mr. Babington was born July 26, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Gordon and Anna Babington. He worked as a mechanic for the Coast Guard Yard until his retirement after 7 years of service. He was a member of the Masons Glen Burnie Lodge as well as a dedicated member of Community United Methodist Church where he volunteered. He helped the Church by making runs for the food bank between Annapolis and Pasadena. In his free time, he enjoyed boating, fishing and woodworking. He was a very helpful and kind man who loved spending time with his family. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Babington is preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Babington and brother, Gordon "Micky" Babington. He is survived by his children, Alvin "Al" Babington and his wife Janet and Gayle Beck and her husband Charles; grandchildren, Allan, Katie, Lauren, Emily and great grandchildren, Allyssa, Samantha, Wayde and Jace. 

Friends may call Friday, November 10th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a service will be held at 8:00 pm. Interment is private.
