Linda Victoria (Zaruba) Yirka
Obituary
Linda Victoria Yirka, 72, a 37 year resident of Pasadena and formerly of Glen Burnie died on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
She was born on Saturday, June 30th, 1951 in Maryland to the late Frank and Regina Zaruba. Mrs. Yirka worked as a secretary for Anne Arundel County Public Schools at Freetown Elementary for 30 years, retiring in 2016. She attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers George Zaruba, Raymond Zaruba, Thomas Zaruba, and John Zaruba.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Pat Connell; her sons, Michael Yirka, and Jonathan Yirka and his wife Jessica; her step-sons Jimmy Connell and Pat Connell; her sister Ruth Hack; and her grandchildren Matthew Yirka, Sam Yirka, and Ryleigh Yirka.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 19th 2023 at 12:00 pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 8615 Ft. Smallwood Road, Pasadena, MD 21122. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by clicking HERE.
