It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Hunt Jester, a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Linda passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, at her home in Stevensville, Maryland. She was 64 years old.
Born on May 16th, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland, Linda was the cherished daughter of the late Morris E. Hunt and Joan I. Hunt. She was preceded in death by her brother, Steven M. Wachter and beloved grandparents, William and Helen Hunt.
Linda dedicated her career to the State of Maryland, where she diligently served for 32 years, retiring in 2019 as a respected MDTA Customer Revenue Supervisor. Her commitment and work ethic left a lasting impression on all who worked with her.
Linda had a multitude of interest. She was an avid reader, a lover of old movies, and had an enduring love for animals, especially her cherished dogs (Goldie, Ben, Scout, Samantha, Isabella, Riley, Lillie). Her eclectic taste in music often found her listening to R&B and opera, with a particular fondness for the Three Tenors.
Linda leaves behind her loving husband of 40 years, Neil W. Jester, who stood by her side through every chapter of her life. She is also survived by her twin sister, Nancy K. Hunt-Perry, and her brothers, Daniel R. Wachter and Jeffrey A. Kirby. Linda's loving spirit touched her nieces and nephews deeply, including niece Jaime Wachter, niece Casey Knapp, niece Jamie Miller, niece Tiffany Tang, nephew Alec Kirby, nephew James D. Jester, nephew Brandon R. Jester, niece Rebecca Jester, nephew Otto F. Jester, Jr., and nephew Lance P. Castro. Her loving legacy continues in the hearts of her great nephews, Mack Tang, Luke Tang, Mason Knapp, James D. Jester, Aiden Jester, and her great nieces, Kinsley Knapp, and Emily Jester.
A visitation will be held at Stallings Funeral Home, Pasadena, Maryland, on Thursday, June 12th from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm where a funeral service will being at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place immediately following services at Glen Haven Memorial Park.

Linda's warmth and kindness touched everyone who had the privilege to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
