Lawrence "Larry" Francis McManus, 65, a resident of Glen Burnie and formerly of Pasadena, MD, passed away at his home on October 31, 2021.
Larry was born on December 27, 1955 in Maryland to the late Hugh Francis and Catherine McManus. He graduated from Northeast High School in Pasadena. Though he had many skills, the past 15 years Larry was an HVAC technician. Larry loved watching NASCAR and had a passion for muscle cars, as his most beloved was a 1987 Buick Grand National. He enjoyed going to the Maryland Renaissance Festival each Fall. Larry was rarely seen without his radio police scanner, tracking local emergencies. Both at work and at home, Larry lent a helping hand to anyone in need. In the heavy snows, he could be found driving his pickup truck with plow attached, stopping to dig out drivers buried in the snow. Larry was overflowing with love and the need to do for others, even when given hardly any notice. Though Larry’s death brings an immense amount of grief, his family and friends will always remember the kind, selfless, giving heart that he shared with the world.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his sister, Penny. He is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Sandra; sons, Tyler and Devin; step-daughters, Mandy and Casey; 3 grandchildren, Savana, Delaney, and Joe Paul; and 2 great-grandchildren, Vivienne and Natalie.
Services and interment are private.
