Lance Macklin Obituary

Lance Alan Macklin, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026. He was born on Wednesday, March 3rd, 1971, in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Lance lived a life full of adventure, love, and dedication, residing in Westminster, MD, for the past four years after moving from Pasadena, Maryland.

Lance graduated from Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, California, in 1989. He built a successful career as the Director of Maintenance, most recently serving with Miller Transportation. His expertise and dedication to his work were admired by all who knew him, and he could fix anything he set his mind to.

A man of many passions, Lance loved riding his motorcycle and driving his Jeep, finding freedom and joy on the open road. He was also an exceptional mechanic, renowned for his ability to bring any car back to life. Above all, Lance was a devoted family man. His family was his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them whether it was watching his grandchildren play sports, a gathering with friends or a quiet evening at home.

Lance is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary Macklin; his daughters, Brooke Haan (Micah) and Brittany Gomez (Raymond); step-son Chad Harry; step-daughter, Samone Maddox (Devon); step-son Kurt Maddox (Kelly) and his cherished grandchildren, Scarlette Gomez, Jayde Gomez, Jaxon Haan, Ellie Haan, Brycen Maddox and Layne Maddox He leaves behind his parents, Lee Raymond Macklin (Cindy) and Shirley Ann Kingsley (the late Frederico); his brother, Christopher Macklin; and his sister, LeeAnn Telles (Scott). Lance's legacy of love, warmth, and devotion continues in the hearts of all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Lance and to celebrate his life at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. Afternoon visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a service beginning at 7:00 pm. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, Lance's family encourages those who wish to honor his memory to consider a donation to the American Heart Association. Lance will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
