Kenneth Seymour Obituary

It is with deep sadness and fond memories that we announce the passing of Kenneth James Seymour, a beloved resident of Glen Burnie, MD. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on January 5th, 1946, and passed away peacefully on July 5th, 2025, at the age of 79.

Ken lived a life filled with passion, joy, and adventure. He dedicated over 35 years of his professional life as a service writer, known for his exceptional commitment and knowledge. Before taking on this role, he worked as a service writer in the automotive industry where he made lasting friendships and honed his remarkable skills.

A man of many interests, Ken's love for sports and cars was unmatched. He was an avid tennis player, an enthusiastic dancer, and a spirited drag car racer. His love for racing not only brought him joy but also accolades as he owned race cars and proudly displayed his trophies as a class winner. Ken was known to engage anyone in conversation, sharing stories about almost anything and looked at life with enthusiasm and optimism. He was always up for an outing and lived life to the fullest.

Ken is survived by his loving son George "Boz" Seymour and his wife Jacqueline, his dear daughter Marjorie Barlowe and her husband Steven, and his cherished grandson Justin Barlowe. He also leaves behind his treasured siblings, Kathleen Bennett and Carol Smith, and his beloved niece Cindy Smith and her husband Jimmy. Ken is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Seymour and parents, George and Isabelle Seymour, whose guiding presence impacted him profoundly.

To honor and celebrate Ken’s remarkable life, family and friends are invited to an Afternoon Visitation from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, followed by an Evening Visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, all on Friday, July 11th, 2025 at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. A Memorial Service will also be held at the same location on Friday, July 11th at 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Annapolis ASPCA by clicking HERE

Ken's outgoing nature and zest for life will be dearly missed but always remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His laughter, stories, and spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
