Pasadena, MD - Kenneth S. King, Sr., a cherished member of his family, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on September 19, 1941, Kenneth was the beloved son of the late Henry and Dorothy King.
Kenneth proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, where he developed a steadfast sense of duty that stayed with him throughout his life. He transitioned from his military service to a successful career as a top car salesman helping him reach salesman of the year more than 12 of those years of his employment. Known for his engaging personality and perseverance, Kenneth's ability to connect with people made him not only a successful businessman but also a cherished friend to many with his genuine personality.
Residing in Pasadena, MD, Kenneth was an active member of the local VFW, where he enjoyed sharing stories of his service and experiences. His passion for motorcycles and automobiles was well-known, and he spent countless hours not just maintaining his own vehicles but helping others with theirs. Kenneth could fix just about anything with his hands and his vast knowledge.
Kenneth was passionately devoted to his family and found great joy in spending time with and/or doting on his children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. His joyful spirit and warmth were most evident when surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves behind his three children: Raymond King, Kenneth King Jr. (Christine Calvert King), and Marie Whipp (David Whipp); his treasured siblings: Dottie King and Carol Raynor; six grandchildren: Sara, Alison, Andrew, Carson, Adam, and Alex; and his beloved great-granddaughter, Lilly.
Preceded in death by his parents, his cherished brother, Henry King, and his dear wife, Harriet, Kenneth now joins them in eternal peace.
Kenneth was a man set in his ways, yet known for his incredible storytelling. He had the rare gift of turning the ordinary into tales of adventure and wisdom that his family will forever cherish. His legacy of love, dedication, and resilience endures in the hearts of those who knew him.
Friends and family may gather for a visitation on Monday, April 6th from 4 - 6 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122, where a service will take place on Tuesday, April 7th at 8:30 am. Interment will take place immediately following the funeral services at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
Kenneth S. King, Sr., will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. His spirit, stories, and the love he had for his family are his lasting gifts to the world.
