Kenneth Michael Jones, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13th, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on Monday, December 1st, 1958, in Washington D.C., Kenneth spent his life bringing joy and laughter to everyone who knew him.
A long-time resident of Pasadena, Maryland, Kenneth devoted 30 years to his work as a Systems Engineer with Raytheon, proudly contributing to the Department of Defense from 1975 to 2020. His career was marked by dedication and excellence, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
Outside of work, Kenneth was a vibrant and active member of his community. A former Scout Master and member of the Order of the Arrow, he cherished his time spent camping, scuba diving, building model planes, and coaching soccer. As a Boy Scout leader, he touched the lives of many young men, guiding them with his wisdom and humor.
Kenneth was a man of many talents, known as a skilled woodworker and handyman—a true jack of all trades. His sense of humor could lighten any room, and he was often the jokester of the group, spreading smiles and laughter wherever he went. He had a great heart and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
His love for travel led him on many adventures, with a particular fondness for the islands of Hawaii, where he created cherished memories with his family. Kenneth was a hands-on grandfather, showering his granddaughters, Rhaella, Iris, and Hayden, with love and attention. He was a man who valued family above all, proudly serving as a loving and devoted husband to Vicki L. Jones, and a supportive father to his sons, Sean and his wife Denise, Ryan and his wife Kristen, and Brendan and his wife Jennifer.
Kenneth was predeceased by his father, Neil F. Jones, but is survived by his beloved wife, Vicki, his cherished mother, Regina M. Jones, his sons, and his brothers, Dennis, Steven and Jeffrey Jones. His legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
