Kelly (Steen) Swigert

Kelly Swigert was born November 5th, 1966 in Annapolis, Maryland to the late Geraldine and Rudolph Steen. She graduated from Northeast High School and spent most of her career in banking, which she left to join the local school system.

Her hobbies included getting together with family by the pool, doing scratch offs, playing slots with friends, and watching her favorite shows which included the history channel, shark week, Live PD, and veterinary shows. Her favorite childhood memory was family trips to Ocean City, a tradition she continued with her children and grandchildren. Kelly took great pride in being a grandmother "Mimi" and found an abundance of joy in spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Kelly is preceded by her brother, Thomas Sawyer. She is survived by her husband Johnny Swigert Sr.; her brother Randy Steen Sr.; her children, Michael Thurfield, Cheyenne Watkins, and Johnny Swigert Jr.; and her grandchildren Peyton Reif, Maveryk Thurfield, and Benjamin Watkins; her niece, Sharon Sarro; nephew, Randy Steen Jr. and many other cousins, family members and friends.

Friends and family may visit Saturday November 16th from 11am-12 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a service will be held at 12:00 pm. Interment is private. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake by clicking HERE.
