Katherine Halstead

Katherine Halstead, 89, a resident of Maryland and formerly of Pennsylvania, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023 in her home. 

Mrs. Halstead was born September 12, 1934 in Pennsylvania to the late G. James and Diane Pappas. She worked as the Vice President for Calico until her retirement. She was a dedicated Greek Orthodox and attended Church in PA. In her spare time she enjoyed reading the newspaper, playing Solitaire, and solving word puzzles. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Halstead was a detailed oriented woman who was very organized. She was described as being a "ball of fire" who was sharp as a tack and that you couldn't get anything past. She will be greatly missed. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Halstead is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Halstead; son, Jordan Peters, and sister, Martha Helmick. She is survived by her granddaughter, Krista Peters and great granddaughter, Jordyn Peters.
