Karen Gorsche Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Marie Gorsche, a cherished resident of Pasadena, Maryland. Karen's journey began in Baltimore, Maryland, on July 29th, 1958, and after a life filled with love and warmth, she departed peacefully from this world on April 11th, 2025.

Karen was a beloved homemaker whose greatest joys were camping, embracing the beauty of nature, and devoting time to her grandchildren and dogs. Her gentle spirit and boundless love for her family made her a cherished presence in their lives.

Karen leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her brother, Gary Gorsche and his wife Rosemary; her devoted life partner, Roland Heck; step-daughter, Karen Heck; step-sons, Kris Heck, Eli Heck, and Zak Page; her 10 beloved grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her family was the heart of her world, and her impact on their lives will be eternally treasured.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Leland Duane Gorsche, her mother, Lucy Lorena Gorsche and her brothers, Terry Lee Gorsche and Craig Steven Gorsche. Their memories live on in the hearts and stories of those who loved her.

She attended Andover High School in the mid-1970s and carried her innate kindness and compassion throughout her life. Her love for dancing, camping and nature was only rivaled by her devotion to her grandchildren, with whom she spent her happiest days.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Karen’s life and bid her farewell during the afternoon and evening visitations on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. A memorial service will follow on Thursday, April 17th, 2025, at 11:00 am, also at Stallings Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Karen's honor.

Karen Marie Gorsche will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on, cherished in the hearts of her loving family and friends.
