Junior L. Helmick

Junior L. Helmick , 80, a long term resident of Maryland, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 in his home peacefully surrounded by family. 

Mr. Helmick was born June 17, 1943 in West Virginia to his late parents. He worked as a Police Officer for Baltimore county for several years. Beyond his time with the Police Department, he worked as a Trucker until the time of his retirement, 26 years later. In his free time, Mr. Helmick enjoyed hunting, shooting, watching the Ravens and Orioles. One of his biggest passions was gardening and Carpentry. He loved kids and it showed thru his many years of coaching and working to find missing and exploited children. He had a very special way of telling stories, tho some may have been exaggerated.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Helmick is preceded in death by  Lee J Helmick (Son). He is survived by; Richard Helmick (son), Shari Helmick (Daughter), Megan Helmick  (Daughter), as well as many close friends who he considered family.
