Joseph Gerard Beil

Joseph Gerard Beil, 64, a 37 year resident of Pasadena, MD, died on February 12, 2020 at his home.

Joe was born on October 22, 1955 in Baltimore, MD to the late William Sr. and Rita Beil. 

Joe was a carpenter by trade and he built his current home and his cabin in WV.  He had a hand in building/remodeling many of his family and friends homes.  Joe was a woodworking artist and built beautiful things such as rocking horses, furniture, and keepsakes that were shared with his family and friends.  So many babies received a step-stool that he made with their name carved into it.  Not only was he a woodworker, but a mentor to his family and others in the craft.

He was a lover of nature from the ocean to the mountains.  He enjoyed crabbing, sailing, camping, and backpacking.  He loved reading, music, and old movies and was a wealth of information regarding musical artists, songs and movie trivia.  Joe even liked to dabble in playing the guitar, mandolin, harmonica and even mastered the kazoo.  He loved animals and played ball often with his current and favorite dog Sam.

In addition to his parents Joe is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Edward Beil.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Jeanne Beil; son, Mark Edward Beil and wife, Melissa; daughter, Katie Ann Waters and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Emma Rita Beil and Claire Ann-Marie Beil; as well as his siblings, William Beil, Jr, Barbara Ann Meninger, and James T. Beil.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 8th from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The family will receive guests between those hours at the Kent Island Yacht Club, 117 Yacht Club Drive, Chester, MD 21619.
