Jonathan "Johnny" Scott Masser, 36, a lifelong resident of Maryland, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C., two days shy of his 37th birthday.
Johnny was born November 25, 1986 in Columbia, Maryland to Norman and Amy Masser. He worked as a Computer Programmer for 5 years. He was a dedicated member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Crofton, Maryland. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his 2 sons. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Ravens and playing computer games like Dragon Age and The Witcher. He was described as a gentle giant who was extremely patient and had a great sense of humor. He was very sensitive to the needs of others and had an innate ability to work with individuals who had special needs. He advocated for them, especially his 2 brothers. Above all he was a devoted father and husband.
He is preceded in death by his sister Rebecca Masser, paternal grandparents, Paul and Janet Masser and his step-grandfather Duane Deyoe. He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Kimberly "Kimmy" Masser; sons, Paul and Aaron Masser; parents, Norman and Amy Masser; brothers, Timothy and Caleb Masser; sisters, Jessica Smith and Lotus Masser; maternal grandfather Leigh Stamets and his wife Mary Kaye and maternal grandmother, Jane Deyoe.
Jonathan's celebration of life service will be at 4:30PM on Thursday, December 7th at Annapolis EP Church.
