John (Ben) Poe III

John Bennett Poe III, 81, of Pasadena, MD, passed away on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024.

John (Ben) was born Wednesday, February 10th, 1943 in Baltimore, MD to the late John Poe Jr. and Josephine Poe. In his younger years he served in the Army before being medically discharged. Ben owned Jam Enterprises and other small businesses for over 40 years and retired once he sold his business.  He was a member of the Pasadena Business Association and enjoyed deep sea fishing, RVing, and hunting. He loved spending time playing cards with his youngest grandchildren and attending their soccer and basketball games. Ben was a hardworking, generous and compassionate man. 

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Sharon Poe; son, John Christopher Poe; and son, Jason Bradley Poe.  Ben is survived by his daughter Melissa Eckhart and her husband Doug; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Poe; brother, Thomas "Tom" Poe; grandchildren- Christopher Jacob Poe, Jeremy Poe, Allison Poe, Jordan Eckhart, and Cooper Eckhart, ; and great- grandchildren- Judah and Lincoln Dawson.

There will be a Celebration of Life on April 5th, 2024 at The Reserve located at Two Rivers restaurant in Pasadena, Maryland from 6pm- 10pm.
