John T. Schascheck, 83, a 23 year resident of Crownsville and formerly of Catonsville died on February 11, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on February 19, 1937 in Shamokin, Pennsylvania to the late Theodore S. and Anna R. Schascheck.
Mr. Schascheck served honorably in the US Army and was a Vietnam veteran.
He was employed as a tractor trailer driver for Bethlehem Steel for 30 years retiring in 1999.
Mr. Schascheck was a member of the Moose and the VFW. He enjoyed collecting model trains, records, 8 track and cassette tapes as well as cooking and visiting flea markets.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Ted Schascheck.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Anette Schascheck, and step-children, Cheryl Shiflett of Pasadena, Julie Halpin of Glen Burnie, and Lonnie Mathes, also of Glen Burnie.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A. where funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 18 at 10:00 AM. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery.
