John Irwin Leonard

John Irwin Leonard, 63, a lifelong resident of Maryland, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023 in his home. 

Mr. Leonard was born December 26, 1959, in Baltimore, MD to Jerry L. Leonard, Sr. and the late Kathryn Reist Leonard. He worked as a computer programmer/analyst for Computer Sciences Corporation for 23 years before going on disability for his severe struggles with depression. He was a member of Chesapeake Christian Center Church of God where he served assisting with music and children’s ministry. He was a leader and active in local pro-life ministry, and he enjoyed playing the piano and browsing flea markets for hidden treasures.

Mr. Leonard is preceded in death by his beloved mother. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Kristen M. Leonard; father, Jerry L. Leonard, Sr.; daughters, Elizabeth R. Leonard and Danielle J. Johnston; siblings, Jerry L. Leonard, Jr. (Jay) and Deborah L. Vogan.

Visiting will be held Monday, October 16th from 9:00-10:00 am at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a memorial service will begin at 10:00 am.
