John A. Barnickel, III, 69, a 26 year resident of Pasadena, MD and formerly of Baltimore, passed away at his home on July 1, 2020.
Mr. Barnickel was born on August 21, 1950 in Baltimore, MD to the late John Jr. and Peggy Barnickel. He served as a Control Room Engineer for BG&E for 44 years before retiring in 2013. In his spare time, John enjoyed wood-carving and was a member of the Anne Arundel Carvers Club.
Mr. Barnickel is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Chris M. Barnickel; son, John A. Barnickel, IV; sister, Deborah Dornon; brother, Brian Barnickel; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life and Luncheon will be held for John A Barnickel III on Friday, July 24th at 11:30 am. The Service will be held at Kurtz’s Beach located in Pasadena. We will hold a small service, followed by a remembrance of John, then a luncheon. This is not a formal affair so we wish you to please dress comfortably as the dress attire is casual. Due to Covid19 and Maryland health regulations face masks are required to enter and socialize within the building, but can be removed to eat and drink. Disposable masks will be provided at the door if you happen to forget yours. If on the date of the service you are feeling unwell, we ask you to please remain home; We will miss you, but be grateful you showed your caring for others.
