Joan "Beverly" McRobie

Her name was Joan, she went by Ms. Bev, her friends called her Tweety but all the kids called her Mommom. She was a mother, a wife, a friend and a perfect Grandmom. She always found time to help others in need. She was 1 of 9 siblings born in Allegany County. She married her late husband Allen McRobie in the summer of 1960 and the two were happily married for almost 60 years.

Bev was a longtime member of The American Legion Post #277 where she held many positons for the Auxiliary and volunteered her time. While babysitting her own grandchildren she started a licensed child daycare where she became the neighborhood grandma. Mommom always had an energy around her and lived her life to the fullest. Bev loved spending Saturday nights plays cards and games with all her friends. Bev was a crafter with her daughter Leisa (Bonnie), they attended many local craft shows. Her sense of humor and kindness will be missed the most.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Leisa (Bonnie) Wheatley of Glen Burnie, sister Wilma Miller of Allegany Co. and grandson Stephen Wheatley (Cari) of Arnold and grandson Kent Wheatley of Glen Burnie.

Friends may call Saturday, November 20th from 2-5 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122. Interment is private. In lieu of memorial contributions, flowers may be sent for the visitation at the Funeral Home.
