Jerome E. Elam

Jerome E. Elam, 93, a 46 year resident of Pasadena, MD, died on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on Wednesday, August 14th, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Clarence and Julia Elam. Mr. Elam served honorably in the US Army.  He began his working career with Firestone in Liberia, West Africa in 1959.  In 1977 he relocated to the Locust Point Marine Terminal in Maryland where he retired as shipping manager in 1995 with 36 years of service.  He was a founding member of Our Lady of the Chesapeake Catholic Church in Pasadena, MD.  In his free time he enjoyed being with family, working in his yard, golfing and playing cards. 

Mr. Elam is survived by his wife of 63 years, Judith Elam; his children  Andy Elam and his wife Janet, Gary Elam and his wife Michele, and Linda Albowicz and her husband Stacey; his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at  Long Point Hall 1534 Long Point Road Pasadena, MD 21122 from 1:00-5:00 on September 24, 2023 please come casual and bring a memory. A private inurnment will be held at Quantico National Cemetery in Virginia.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
