Jasmyn "Alex" Ahrens Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jasmyn Alexandra Ahrens, a beloved wife, daughter, and friend. Alex was born on August 1st, 1991, at Malcolm Grow Medical Center on Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, and entered eternal rest on Friday, January 2nd, 2026, in Pasadena, Maryland.

Alex was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her. She graduated from Chesapeake High School in 2009 and furthered her education at Anne Arundel Community College. Her passion for hospitality led her to work in the restaurant industry, where she delighted patrons with her infectious smile and vibrant personality. No matter where her career took her, Alex always returned to her grandmother's cherished establishment, Cookie's Kitchen.

Alex adored the sun, the beach, and treasured moments at her "mom mom's" pool. She had a remarkable gift for making others smile and was known for her lively and humorous spirit. Alex's love for animals was evident in her devotion to her dog, Porky, and her cat, Pricilla.

She is survived by her husband, Gregory Florentino; her mother, Yolanda Ahrens; her father, Trent Winge; her grandparents, Lee Hofmann and Cookie Kiser; her brother, Brett Rogers; sisters Kaylee and Loren Winge; her aunt, Laura Rebstock; her uncle, Shawn Rebstock; and her cousins, Blake and Reed Rebstock. Alex was also blessed with the companionship of her best friends, Heather Skrzecz and Kristen Paskoski, who shared many unforgettable moments by her side.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland, on Saturday, January 10th, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 pm, to celebrate Alex's life and the joy she brought to others.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Evolve Life Centers by clicking here.

Her sudden departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will live on, as Alex truly had the ability to light up any room she entered.
