Janie Viola Withrow, 95, a 4 year resident of Crownsville and formerly of the Greenhaven community in Pasadena, MD, died on March 30, 2020 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Mrs. Withrow was born on April 6, 1924 in West Virginia to the late Julius and Ella Loudermilk. She was a devoted homemaker and faithful member of the International Pentecostal Church of Christ. She loved going to church so much that she used to travel with her husband to visit different churches. In her spare time, Janie enjoyed puzzle books, coloring books, knitting, and crocheting.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Withrow is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Rev. Harry Lee Withrow; son, Elmer Withrow; daughter, Irene Faye Weiford; brothers, Woodrow, Joseph, and Lilburn Loudermilk; and sisters, Wilsie Wingler, Bertie Mae Loudermilk, and Goldie Susan Loudermilk.
She is survived by her children Nathan Withrow (Cheryl), Wanetta Fowler (Chris), Avis Withrow (Dana), and David Withrow (Tricia), 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
In response to recent developments, the immediate family has chosen to keep the funeral services private in order to protect the health of the public.
