Janet Carol (Schoolman) Babington

Pasadena, MD - Janet Carol Babington, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5th, 2025, at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, Maryland. Born on April 12th, 1961, in Rhode Island, Janet was a beacon of light and warmth to everyone who knew her. She was 64 years of age.

Janet dedicated her professional life as a System Administrator, where her diligent work ethic and keen problem-solving skills were deeply admired. Beyond her career, Janet had a profound passion for baking, sewing, and gardening. Her delicious baked goods and flourishing garden were a testament to her love for creating and nurturing. Most importantly, her heart belonged to her family, particularly her grandchildren, with whom she spent countless joyous hours.

Janet is survived by her devoted husband, Alvin C. Babington of Pasadena, MD, and her son, Allan Babington, and his wife, Kimberly. She was a cherished sister to Thomas Schoolman and Richard Schoolman. Her legacy lives on in her beloved grandchildren, Alyssa, Samantha, Wade, and Jace, who were the joy of her life.

Preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Janice Schoolman, Janet carried on their loving spirit, never complaining and always being there for friends and family alike. Her bright and bubbly personality touched the hearts of all who met her, leaving a lasting impression that will not be forgotten.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. An afternoon visitation will take place on Thursday, October 9th, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and an evening visitation from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A funeral service celebrating Janet's life will follow at 8:00 pm on the same day.
