James Alan Zimmerman

James Alan Zimmerman, 68, a resident of Arnold, Maryland, died on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Mr. Zimmerman was born on Thursday, October 1st, 1953 in Annapolis, Maryland to Dorothy and the late Dale Zimmerman. He served in the United States Army in the first horse cavalry platoon. After returning from his time in the service, he eventually began his own construction business and operated it with his sons until the time of his passing. Outside of work, James enjoyed playing softball, scuba diving, skiing, and horses. He also had his pilot license and his own airplane which he loved to fly every time he got the chance.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Zimmerman is survived by his sons, Brian, Travis, and Michael Zimmerman; brothers, Bob and Jeff Zimmerman; sister, Cathy Rockwell; and grandchildren, Zachary and Zoe Zimmerman, Brooks and Austin Zimmerman, Sarah Rockwell, Ashley and Jeffery Zimmerman, Jennifer Johnson and Donnie Grey.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, April 21st, 2022 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122 where funeral services will take place at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
