Ida E. Wasarhelyi, 82, a resident of Glen Burnie, MD for over 40 years, died on March 4, 2020 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Mrs. Wasarhelyi was born on November 5, 1937 in Baltimore, MD to the late Edward and Elizabeth Stivers. She retired from the Maryland Court System after many years of service. Outside of work, she enjoyed attending Christ the Solid Rock Baptist Church in Lansdowne and visiting Beach Harbor, where she loved spending time with her friends. Ida's hobbies included duck pin bowling and watching Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wasarhelyi is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Wasarhelyi, and brother, Edward "Butch" Stivers. She is survived by her brothers, William "Bill" Stivers and Preston "Dave" Stivers; sister, Edith Donohue; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, March 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122 where funeral services will begin at 12:30 p.m. Interment at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
