Herbert Ernest Adams, Jr., 84, a lifelong resident of Pasadena, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022 in his home.
Mr. Adams was born May 15, 1938 in Baltimore, MD to the late Herbert Sr. and Margaretta Adams. He served honorably in the Air National Guard and US Marine Corps. He was a member of several groups including Lord Calvert Golf Club, the American Legion Post 40 and the Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge. He also attended Our Lady of the Chesapeake and Lakeshore Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, crabbing, and building model ships. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a "people person" who would talk to anyone and was extremely friendly. After retirement, he worked a variety of jobs including Pasadena Golf Center, Compass Point Golf Course, Pastore's, Phelp’s, Wilson’s Citgo and Arundel Golf Park - just so he could stay social.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Adams is preceded in death by his sister, Helene Tankersley. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Janice Adams; daughter Laurinda Reinhart and her husband Chris; son Bob Adams, Sr. and his wife Patricia; grandchildren Robert Adams, Jr., Amanda Herr, Brian Reinhart, Megan Reinhart; great grandchildren Samantha Adams and Adelaide Herr; brother-in-law Tom Tankersley, and nephews Tommy and Craig Tankersley.
Friends may call Sunday, November 13th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where services will be held Monday, November 14th at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Loudon Park Cemetery immediately following funeral services.
