Helen King, 91, a 68 year resident of Glen Burnie, MD, died on September 4, 2020 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Mrs. King was born on March 30, 1929 in Baltimore, MD to the late Walter and Hilda Cooke. She served for 20 years as a telephone operator before retiring to devote more time to her family whom she loved. In recent years, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and reading a good book.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. King is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Louis King, grandson, Christopher King, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her children, Anita Colson, Janice Lawyer, Margaret Taylor, Julie King, and Louis King, all of Pasadena; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, September 13 from 12-1 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122 where a memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Please be aware that, due to county-mandated COVID-19 restrictions, Stallings Funeral Home is only allowing 60 people in the building at a time and face coverings must be worn while inside.
