Harry "Butch" Gordon Jacob, cherished husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19th, 2025, at the age of 76 in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Born on Sunday, September 18th, 1949, in Baltimore, Maryland, Butch touched many lives with his warmth, humor, and gentle spirit.

A devoted family man, Butch is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia A. Jacob, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, and his two sons, Jeremy T. Jacob and his wife Allison and Bryan N. Jacob. He is also survived by his siblings, Patrick M. Jacob and Lawrence W. Jacob, and his sister Mary Ellen Marseglia. Butch was the proud grandfather of Nicholas J. Watson, who will dearly miss him. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jerome Jacob and Deborah Ann Jacob.

Butch pursued his passion for engineering, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He had a fulfilling career spanning 16 years at Rockwell Collins Inc, formerly ARINC INC, where he made significant contributions as an engineer. Before embarking on his professional journey, Butch honorably served in the United States Air Force for eight years, bravely contributing as a Vietnam Veteran.

Beyond his professional and military accomplishments, Butch found joy in simple pleasures. He and Trisha shared a passion for square dancing, which brought them closer with every step. They also enjoyed playing "hand and foot" together.  Known for his community spirit, Butch delivered meals through Meals on Wheels, providing nourishment and companionship to those in need.

Butch also indulged in Sudoku and duckpin bowling, enjoying the camaraderie and competition on a league at Severna Park Lanes. With his gentle and soft-spoken nature, Butch had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel at home, always finding the silver lining in every situation and brightening lives with his humor.

Butch's legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and love—a remarkable life well-lived. He leaves behind a community of family and friends who were inspired by his unwavering positivity and service to others. His memory will be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
