Harry Towers, a beloved resident of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6th, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on January 27th, 1950, in Baltimore, Maryland, Harry was a cherished brother, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Harry proudly served in the Navy, an experience that profoundly shaped his character and life. After his service, he honed his skills as a plumber, becoming an integral part of the Plumber's Union, where he was respected for his dedication and expertise.
In the late 1950s, Harry moved to Glen Burnie with his family. He got married in 1971 and went on to build a life centered around family, hard work, and community. He was a former member of the Masons and of the Boumi Temple lodge. Harry found joy in life’s simple pleasures, often seen working on his truck, fixing things around the house, or watching old TV shows like "Gunsmoke" and "The Andy Griffith Show." Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
Harry is survived by his loving daughters, Lisa Towers, Lindsay Towers, and Rachel Towers, and his son, Lee Towers. He was a proud grandfather to Jordan Towers, Jack Goodale, and Benjamin Towers. Harry also leaves behind his cherished sisters, Minnie, Mary, and Barbara. He was preceded in death by his devoted spouse, Barbara Towers; his parents, Alfred and Mary Towers; his brothers, Timothy and Ronnie; and his sisters, Margie and Patsy.
Friends and loved ones are invited to celebrate Harry's life at the Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
Harry will be remembered for his dedication and loving commitment to family and friends, and for his service to our country. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace, embraced by those who went before him and fondly remembered by those he leaves behind.
