Gloria Manges

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gloria M. Manges, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Gloria passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday, May 18th, 2025, at her residence. She was 82 years old.

Born on November 28th, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, Gloria enjoyed a vibrant life enriched by deep family bonds, and a myriad of personal passions. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emerson and Magdaline Myers, her son, Robert Lemke, III, and her siblings, Theresa Jones, Lynn Pirrera, and M. Thomas Myers.

Gloria is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Wesley Manges, also of Pasadena, MD. She leaves behind her loving children: Julianne Luckett (husband, Robert), Maura Manges, and Kendall Manges. Her cherished siblings Mary McCann and Gerard Myers, as well as her adored grandchildren, Benjamin and Andrew Luckett, also mourn her passing. The family eagerly anticipates the arrival of twin great-grandchildren, in whom Gloria will forever live on in spirit.

Professionally, Gloria enjoyed an impactful career as Executive Director for Baltimore County Commission on Arts and Sciences, serving with dedication for eight years. A woman of myriad interests, she had a passion for traveling, horses, decorating and renovating her home, sewing and hosting lively gatherings, along with being a former member of the Rotary Club. Known for her generosity, independence, and strong will, Gloria embodied the ultimate caregiver, always putting others' needs before her own.

Friends and family are invited to honor Gloria's life with an evening visitation on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. A funeral service will follow at the same location, beginning at 8:00 pm.

Gloria M. Manges touched many lives with her warmth, kindness, and unyielding spirit. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
