Geraldine "Gerry" J. (Grossman) Steen

Geraldine "Gerry" Steen, 82, a resident of Glen Burnie, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 in her home. 

Mrs. Steen was born January 11, 1939 in Baltimore, MD to the late Harry and Gertrude Grossman. She graduated from Saint Bridgette's Business School and from there worked for the US Coastguard Yard Credit Union as a payroll clerk until her retirement. Her hobbies included reading (especially James Patterson), watching old shows and movies, watching the gameshow network, and playing bingo. She was a Raven's fan and loved Luke Combs. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved being at "no particular place." She was an honest woman with an enormous sense of humor and generosity who will be sorely missed. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Steen is preceded in death by her husband Rudolph Steen and son, Thomas W. Sawyer. She is survived by her children, Randy P. Steen, Sr., Kelly Swigert and her husband Johnny, grandchildren Sharon Sarro, Michael Thurfield, Cheyenne Watkins, Randy Steen, Jr., Johnny Swigert, Jr., great grandchildren Madysen Sarro, Gracie Sarro, Peyton Reif, Maveryk Thurfield, Benjamin Watkins, many cousins, friends, dog Rocz and cat Smokey. 

Visiting will be held Saturday, December 11th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm. Interment is private.
