Geraldine (Betz) Lamb

Geraldine Lamb, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on October 27, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on September 23, 1948, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna Betz.

Geraldine dedicated 10 years of her life as a bus driver for Anne Arundel County Public Schools, where her humor and quick wit made a lasting impression on the students and families she served. In addition to her work, she was a devoted homemaker who poured her heart into creating a nurturing and joyful environment for her family.

An avid gardener, Geraldine took great pride in her yard, finding peace in both gardening and mowing the lawn. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did; she was always the one to lift spirits with her humor and organization, and she had a knack for catching everyone off guard with her clever remarks.

In addition to her parents, Geraldine is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James D. Lamb. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Purkey and her husband Ritchie; siblings Judy Fawthrop and Gerald Cook; grandchildren, Jessica, Breana, Kari , Kevin & Stephanie; great-grandchildren Emory, Tyson, and Ace.

The family wants to give a special Thanks to Ronnie  and Nancy  whom both held a special place in her heart. Thank you for all of  the help caring for Geraldine.
But most of all thank u both for all love and laughter that was shared with her in this sad and difficult time.
