Geraldine Helen Hammond

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Geraldine Helen Hammond, fondly known as Gerry to her friends and family, who peacefully departed this world on December 20, 2025, at the age of 81. A resident of Pasadena, Maryland, she was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on a crisp autumn day, November 3, 1944, to her loving parents James J. Turc Sr. and Helen J. Turc.

Gerry is survived by her devoted husband, Rob Hammond, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage for over 65 years. Together, they created a loving family with their children Bob Hammond (Lynn), Cindy Martin (Paul), and Gerry Hammond ( John). Her legacy includes her cherished grandchildren, Samantha and Meagan Martin, and her delightful great-grandchildren:Alana, Lyla, Lainey, and Aidan. Gerry was predeceased by her brother, Jim Turc Jr., who shared her early years.

Professionally, Gerry devoted 25 years to the banking industry, having retired from M&T Bank in the early 2000s as an esteemed member of the Administration department. Her career was marked by dedication, integrity, and a sense of community.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Gerry was an active member of various social groups that brought joy and camaraderie into her life. She was a beloved member of the Red Hatters with Cookies Kitchen and delighted in spending time with the Big Vanilla Noodlers. Always one for adventure, Gerry loved boating, water activities, camping and sharing a good laugh.. Her passion for dancing enlivened her spirits, and in her younger years, she was fond of bowling.

The greatest joy in Gerry’s life was her family, with whom she spent countless precious moments, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Her loving and nurturing spirit extended beyond her family to everyone she met, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gerry's life at the Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
