Fred Warf Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Fred Ray Warf, a devoted family man, cherished friend, and dedicated worker. Fred entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born on Monday, March 3rd, 1941, in the scenic Lee County, Virginia, where his journey began and eventually led him to touch numerous lives through his warmth and dedication.

Fred was the beloved son of the late Jack Tandy Warf and Evelyn Mary Warf. He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathon Warf, grandson, Joshua Warf, one sister, and one brother. Fred's legacy lives on through his surviving children, Michael Warf (Robin) and Ann-Marie Udovich (Shawn); half sisters, Karla Stidham and Jackie Warf; his grandchildren, Brittany Vandermeulen, Jessica Waters, Kaitlyn Davis, Stephanie Garris, Kayla Warf, Joseph Summerlin, and Brady Udovich; and 14 great-grandchildren who will continue to cherish his memory.

Fred was a highly respected Material Specialist, a title he proudly held for 42 remarkable years. Known across his community as an epitome of dedication, Fred only missed four days of work throughout his career, a testament to his work ethic and commitment to his profession. His meticulous nature and passion extended beyond his work, as he found immense joy in restoring historic cars, a hobby that beautifully mirrored his ability to breathe life into forgotten treasures.

A devoted historian for his family, Fred compiled an extensive family history book, tracing lineage back to the 12th century. His passion for connecting the dots of his family's past earned him the well-deserved title of "family historian." Fred's empathetic nature and willingness to lend a hand endeared him to all who knew him, as he always put the needs of others before his own.

The impact Fred had on his family and friends will never be forgotten. Fred Ray Warf's time with us was a gift, and while he may be gone from our sight, he will forever remain present in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace. Interment is private.
