Franklin Walker Martin, 66, a 26 year resident of Pasadena and formerly of Glen Burnie died on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at University of Maryland Medical Center.
He was born on Thursday, June 5th, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland to Robert Franklin Martin and Ellen Norma Miller Martin. Mr. Martin served honorably in the US Army from 1978 until 1984. In his younger years, worked as a painter with his family. He later worked in sales for various automotive parts stores and he volunteered as an Anne Arundel County Reserve Officer.
Mr. Martin was a member of Jenkins Memorial Church in Riviera Beach. He was also a life member of the Veterans of Foreign War where he received a certificate of appreciation in 2017 and he was a life member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 13 which met at American Legion Post 276 in Severn.
Mr. Martin enjoyed reading, working jigsaw puzzles with his wife, gun collecting, and watching television shows such as WWE, NASCAR and Beverly Hills Cop.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carol Martin, his step-son Christopher Michael, and several siblings.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, August 29th, 2024 at Jenkins Memorial Church Pasadena, MD from 10:00 am to 11:00 am where funeral services will take place that same day at 11:00 am. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Jenkins Memorial Church by mail to 133 Riviera Drive Pasadena, MD 21122.
