Francis Schultz

Francis Schultz, 83, a resident of Pasadena for 74 years and formerly of Baltimore, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in his home. 

Mr. Schultz was born March 2, 1937 in Baltimore, MD to the late John and Elizabeth Schultz. He was a federal employee working first as a pipe fitter for the U.S. Coast Guard and then as an inspector for the Goddard Space Flight Center until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing with various bands at senior centers, social clubs, and with Carol's Western Wear house band. He also liked traveling and visiting flea markets. Mr. Schultz was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Schultz is preceded in death by his brother Dennis Schultz and his sister Marie Smith. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Pat Schultz; children Patricia A. Hanks, John J. Schultz and his wife Sian, Thomas J. Schultz and his wife Nikki; sister JoAnn May; granddaughters Deborah, Theresa, Sherry, Valerie, Jessica, Jacquelyn, and Rebecca; and great-grandchildren Asher and Eva. 

Friends may visit Thursday, March 19th from 3:00 to 9:00 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122. Due to the state of Maryland limiting public gatherings to 10 people, please consider keeping your visit short to allow space for everyone who wishes to pay their respects. Interment services will be private due to the state-imposed restrictions; however, the Schultz family would like each of you to know how much they appreciate your thoughts and prayers. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Arthritis Foundation.
