Fern Minnie Carlino, 95, a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County, MD, died on July 17, 2021 at A&E Home Care in Glen Burnie.
Ms. Carlino was born on May 1, 1926 in Anne Arundel County, MD to the late Herman and Amelia Kinder. She graduated from Glen Burnie High School in the early 1940s and took a job with Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She had a very long and successful career there as a Claims Processor before retiring in the late 1980s with over 40 years of service. Outside of work, Fern was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Millersville and loved tending her flower garden, eating crabs, drinking coffee, and baking - she was especially known for her famous peanut butter fudge. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Carlino is preceded in death by her brothers, Gilbert, Roland, David, Herbert, and Raymond Kinder; and sisters, Evelyn Stevens, Dorothy Marshall, Eileen Tiszl, Violet Thieman, Jennette Smith, and Alma Urban.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, July 22 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122 where funeral services will take place on Friday, July 23 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
