It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ernest John Hartman, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great great grandfather, brother and friend, who departed this life peacefully on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, at the age of 92. Ernest was born on Wednesday, July 6th, 1932, in Baltimore, Maryland, and later made his home in Pasadena, Maryland, where he lived a life full of love and laughter.

A dedicated and hardworking building inspector, Ernest devoted over 20 years of his life to ensuring the safety and integrity of countless structures. His commitment to his profession and his community will be remembered by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Ernest was a man of many passions. As a proud member of the Maryland Train Association, he indulged his fascination with train collecting. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, spending time in lively casinos, and enjoying meals at McDonald's. Known for his mechanical skills, Ernest spent his younger years working on and building cars, a testament to his knack for creation and innovation.

Outspoken and outgoing, he had a remarkable ability to start a conversation with anyone and could easily fill a room with his vibrant presence. Ever knowledgeable, Ernest was always eager to share his thoughts and was never afraid to speak his mind. Above all, his greatest joy was his family, whom he loved dearly.

Ernest is survived by his loving daughters, Virgie Houser and Kathy Sullivan, in addition to his many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
