Ernest H. Ashburn, 78, a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County died on May 27, 2021 in Pasadena, MD.
He was born on June 13, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Willard M. and Catherine Mae Ashburn.
Ernie loved to fish and he raised pigeons in his younger years. He also enjoyed meeting people and making friends. Loved for being friendly and helpful he became known as the Mayor of Patrick Henry Drive.
Mr. Ashburn is survived by his siblings Diana Ashburn, Myrtle Ashburn, Willard "Sonny" Ashburn, Jr., Allen "Butch" Ashburn and his wife Patricia, Anita Jacobs, and Beverly Thomason and her husband Alvin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews including his nephew Kevin who was like a son to him, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephew as well as many, many friends.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home where funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
