Emma M. Schramm, 94, a longtime resident of Pasadena, Maryland, died on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Charlestown, an Erickson Senior Living Community in Catonsville, Maryland.
She was born on November 1, 1928 in Pasadena, Maryland to the late Peter Louis Schramm and Evelyn K. Schramm. Emma Schramm graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1945 and attended Johns Hopkins University in the late 1940's.
She taught at Jacobsville Elementary School and at High Point Elementary School from 1948 - 1965. Emma Schramm also worked on the family farm raising vegetables, flowers, and turkeys. She was a member of the AACo Historical Society, a life member of the NEA, and a supporter of Hancock's Resolution. She was a past queen of Job's Daughters. She enjoyed collecting nativities and advertising memorabilia, as well as displaying her many collections.
Emma is survived by her cousin Evelyn Schramm of Catonsville, Maryland, her sister, Frances Petersen of New York State, and her nephews Stephen Petersen and Mark Petersen also of New York State.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, August 20th, 2023 at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland from 3:00pm to 9:00pm where the funeral services will take place on Monday, August 21st, 2023 at 11:00am with interment immediately following at Loudon Park Cemetery.
