Ella Margaret Scannello, a cherished resident of Glen Burnie, Maryland, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the age of 80. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on Friday, June 29, 1945, Ella lived a full and vibrant life, profoundly touching the hearts of all who knew her.

A dedicated manager, Ella devoted many years of her career to Goldberg's Liquor Store in Brooklyn Park, contributing significantly to the community before retiring in 2021. Her colleagues and customers alike fondly remember her warm demeanor and remarkable dedication.

Ella's leisure moments were filled with simple joys; she avidly enjoyed watching her soap operas, old cowboy shows, and never missed an episode of "The Price is Right" or "Criminal Minds." Her enthusiastic support of the Baltimore Ravens illustrated her enduring passion for her hometown team.

Family was incredibly important to Ella. She is survived by her beloved sister, Carmella Frederick, sister-in-law Marie Scannello and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her deeply. Ella was predeceased by her parents, Frank John Scannello and Margaret Scannello, her longtime companion Mickey McCleary, her brother Patrick Scannello, and her sisters Nina Hayes and Geraldine Brewer.

A graveside service to honor Ella's memory will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Dundalk. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who touched many with her kindness and generosity.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital by clicking HERE, reflecting Ella's lifelong dedication to benevolence and compassion.
