Elizabeth "Liz" V. Watts, 78, a 2 year resident of Glen Burnie and formerly of Lansdowne, MD, died on June 4, 2021 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Mrs. Watts was born on December 7, 1942 in Baltimore, MD to the late Frank and Erma Smith. After graduating from Baltimore's Southern High School in 1961, she married the late Clifton "Wayne" Watts and together they began raising a family in the Lansdowne area. Although she remained a dedicated homemaker while her children were young, she also worked various jobs outside the home. In her spare time, Liz enjoyed reading, cooking, and participating in the Harmony Club of South Baltimore where she was a Harmonette. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and was a wonderful grandmother who was always happy to help take care of her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Watts is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Clifton "Wayne" Watts. She is survived by her son, Michael W. Watts of Rosedale; daughters, Tracy Lynn Bowen (John Wroten) of Glen Burnie and Robin Haynie (Allen) of Glen Burnie; brothers, Ronald Smith of Hanover, PA and Wayne Smith of Pasadena; sister, Sylvia Rawlinson of South Baltimore; 5 grandchildren, Nick and Tony Bowen, Alexis Haynie, and Nathan and Keller Watts; and 1 great-grandson, Nicholas "NJ" Bowen, Jr.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, June 9 from 5-7 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122 where funeral services will begin at 6:30 p.m. Interment private.
