Elizabeth Pearl Moore, 89, a lifelong resident of Maryland, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2023 in her home.
Mrs. Moore was born on June 16, 1934 in Baltimore, MD to the late George and Emma Kloid. She worked as a secretary for Sweetheart Cup and then later went on to volunteer at the Nifty Thrifty for many years. She was a member of Magothy United Methodist Church in Pasadena, MD. In her free time she enjoyed reading, puzzles, and crafting, including ceramics, painting and drawing. She had a love for wildlife, especially birds, and enjoyed feeding them in her neighborhood. She maintained a vegetable garden and also planted flowers. She loved working on her house and was handy with home renovations. Mrs. Moore was the type of person who would help anyone. She was there for anybody and had a great sense of humor.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore is preceded in death by her husband, John Moore. She is survived by her son, Steven Moore; daughter, Sharon Howard; sister, Georgia Gieger; grandchildren, Chrissy, Terri, John, E.J., Amanda, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Friends may call Thursday, September 7th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a service will take place Friday, September 8th at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Glen Haven Memorial Park immediately following the service.
