Edith D. Moran, 96, a resident of both Maryland and Florida, died at her daughter's home in Maryland on October 6, 2021.
Mrs. Moran was born on May 23, 1925 in Ridgely, MD to the late Homer and Florence Pigott. She graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1943 and eventually settled in Pasadena, MD to begin a family with her husband, the late Frank Moran. Edith lived in the Bayside Beach area of Pasadena for 50 years, where she raised her children and helped Frank run his business, Moran Electric, until his passing in 1992. She then left Pasadena and began splitting her time between the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Florida.
Mrs. Moran, along with her husband, was a member of Magothy United Methodist Church in Pasadena in her younger years and more recently of East Naples United Methodist Church in Florida. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and playing cards and other various games.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moran is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Frank D. Moran; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; and 1 great-grandson. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Cole of Grasonville, Darlene West of Florida, and Donna Moran-Darcey of Delaware; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and interment are private.
